When you join a gym it can be quite daunting.
You may be wondering what you should be doing? What exercises are good for you? How many reps? Should I rest more or less? How do I achieve my goals?
There's a lot that goes into training effectively, so we have created an extensive induction process that will ensure you have the best start at our gym.
Book in for your free induction where you will be contacted so that you can choose a day and time suitable for you to have your first appointment.
Once you arrive one of our qualified and friendly instructors of the same sex will be waiting for you at reception. They’ll start by filling out a personal appraisal form with you discussing topics such as current physical activity level, injuries or medical concerns and diet.
Then, they’ll begin a personal assessment with you which includes your body fat percentage, muscle mass and measurements.
You won’t be made to feel uncomfortable, we cater for all shapes, sizes and levels.
We can then repeat this process every 10 weeks to check on your progress.
Finally, your instructor will discuss your all-important goals, whether it be body transformation or performance improvement we can help.
It is only at this second appointment where you’ll need to become a member of our gym. The same instructor will now take you through a personalised training programme which they’ve wrote out for you teaching you what exercises you should be performing whilst also making sure that your form and the weight/resistance you are using in those exercises is correct.
The programme will be constructed around your previous training and goals.
After that, it’s time to train with your new personalised training programme. We will give you as much or as little support as you need and there will always be staff on hand to help you with any questions you have.
